bye bye WSB-FM HD2 "Relaxing, easy favorites"

I am sure I was one of 10 listeners, but after years of enjoying "98.5 HD2" with it's soft A/C, it looks to have been replaced with a copy of what is already on Star 94's HD2 "Classic Sound of Star". Yes, I know the playlist was the same for the past 10 years, but it was a staple and a nice break from the usual. Guess it's off to SXM Escape or The Blend if you want Soft A/C. All good things must come to an end.

iHeart doesn't have "The Breeze" on an HD digital subchannel in Atlanta? I thought iHeart puts The Breeze, the Black Information Network and Pride Radio on a digital subchannel in most of the sizable markets it serves.

I just checked Wikipedia. No iHeart station carries The Breeze. But BIN is found on two subchannels, WWPW-HD3 and WUBL-HD3. In addition to its AM home on 640 WBIN.

Maybe a note written to the GM of WUBL asking for The Breeze might work? It's a really great line up of softer hits of the 1970s, 80s, 90s and a few from the 2000s. It doesn't make sense for BIN to be on THREE signals in Atlanta.

OK, I was listening earlier today to my local Breeze station (WKTU-HD2 Lake Success). During the hour, an announcer reads a list of about seven legal I.D.s for various stations on the Breeze network. Sure enough, he says "WUBL-HD3 Atlanta" as one of the stations. Also included was WXXL-HD3 Tavares (that's in the Orlando market) and WPOC-HD3 Baltimore.

I suppose with the end of Soft AC on a subchannel of 98.5 WSB-FM, iHeart put The Breeze on a subchannel of 94.9 WUBL. How funny that I noticed that announcement today. Problem solved!

Right now, WUBL HD2 is there, but no HD3. Ok. It just came back nevermind.

Yacht Rock is good too.

...or “The Breeze” as it blows into Atlanta, GA radio. In the next few days now.
It shall be soon found at the following iHeart Media registered domains of thebreezeatl.com, 96breezeatl.com and 96thebreeze.com.
