Before many in Albany met Zack, Zack is now or soon will be gone. WJIZ will take over programming the 98.1 frequency around Albany and flips it to Urban AC.

Looks like V105 will face some competition from the "new" 98.1. WQVE still has the heritage in the Albany market, however, at least as far as the Urban AC goes. Should be interesting.

100,000 watts is reporting that 98.1 is "Kiss FM"


98.1 had the signal advantage over 105.5 so that may be a major factor. I do not even see city-grade for 105.5 in Albany.

Actually, WQVE does get into Albany and Dougherty County well. At least until you get north of Leesburg. Then the signal fades considerably.
