C-band LNB supplier?

Hi guys,

Who's a good supplier of satellite supplies for a C-band dish goodies? We're having some trouble with low signal and I want to beef up our system with non-Radio Shack parts.

Are there any good websites for broadcast radio engineers that have good info about it? Like C-band, L-band, frequency ranges, and info about satellites? I know some of the basics, but I could use some rounding-out of my knowledge since pretty much our whole plant runs on satellite programming. If we lose anything critical, like for instance, any of it, we're completely <insert colorful past-tense metaphor here>.

I give up on these local people. You walk into a satellite store around here and start talking C-band and they look at you funny. If it's not DirecTV or Dish Net, they don't have a clue.

I use Dawnsat exclusively. I'd give them a thumbs up.

I was a DAWNco customer for years -- That all changed a some time ago when they flat-out refused to stand behind one of their products. I had purchased 2 or 3 of their better C band PLL LNBs.... they came with I believe a one year warranty. One of them failed after about 6 months. I returned it to them for evaluation and they refused to replace it because there was a sticker missing from the case. Apparently, they put the serial number on two places on the unit... if one of them is missing, the warranty is void. I assured to them that I didn't remove the sticker.

Needless to say, that was my last experience with DAWNco. Apparently a $200 LNB was worth more to them than a satisfied customer.
