so.....

i've been listening to radio like i always do driving around Dullman all the time. A few things i seem to be observing - wonder if anyone else concurs...

WVVB - 105.5 - much much harder now. Less classic-boring-rock like 106.9 and 99.5 play - causing them to stand out more. Not quite 95.1ish from Hsv, but hey, a definate change. They are back on my presets.

WQLT....my weekend gig from March 07 through Dec 07....slowly moved back then from a "jack"ish format to almost all classic rock. (when i started in March it was 2-3 songs of today, 2-3 80s songs, and classic rock). Now i hear very little 80s, mostly the "more rare" stuff of the 70s, and even when i've been listening, not even that much of today (maybe 1-2 songs an hour?) It is more listenable for me...whereas the classic rock was a turnoff.

Is classic rock starting to lose it's flavour of the month again?

This observer wonders if they are now on the so-called "Premium Choice" programming from Clear Channel. Didn't they create that for all formats? And did Vulcan even hire a PD after they booted the last one (forgot who it was)?
 
You are correct, The Vulcan is just a 30KW or whatever jukebox.
