C.C. L.A. engineering

Who took the place of the head of engineering for CC? Was someone internally promoted? Did someone get brought in from somewhere else?
Enquiring minds want to know.

All I've heard is that the Engineering Dept is under the control of Andrew Jeffires.(like everything else there) He isn't a US citizen, so the actual duties of a CE have to fall to someone else. Perhaps Chuck Ide?

I'm an engineer, not a lawyer, but... I'm pretty sure the only person at a broadcast station who must be a US citizen is the owner.

Yeah, a review of Part 73 as to Chief Operator requirements shows nothing about nationality... just type of employment and areas of responsibility. I think all the other stuff went out with the First Phone license...

Ahh yes, forgot, deregulation. Still, I'm thinking one of the real engineers there would be assigned that task.
