Why did C.C. sell off in that market? Anyone in that area read this post. I haven't seen to much talk from that area of East Tenn.

CC just sold off their Dalton, GA cluster and WTUN of their Chattanooga cluster.
______________

They didn't sell out of Chattanooga. They sold Dalton Georgia (for a lot less than they paid). They also sold WTUN out of Ringgold which they needed to do to make room for the C3 they are moving from McMinnville to Walden (Signal Mtn).

Clear Channel, Chattanooga, and "The Legend"

Clear Channel isn't moving completely out of Chattanooga anytime soon. What is happening, AFAIK, is that CC is selling 101.9 WTUN Ringgold, GA, the original Scenic City home of "The Legend" classic country format, to Chattanooga businessmen Paul Fink and Gilbert Watts Jr. In the meantime, CC is now simulcasting The Legend on 97.3 WNGA South Pittsburg, TN and its 99.3 Lookout Mountain translator, the former Chattanooga frequencies of CC's Max FM variety hits format.
______________
