Its been years ago, but used to when I was in Denver I could pick up 102.1 THE X..... Where was their tower located at the time and how much power,,, there doesnt seem to be any station on 102.1 in Denver now, just bleedover from 101.9 and 102.3... I could be wrong, but I think they had 2 towers, one in Estes Park, and one in either Boulder, or Aurora,,, It may have also been on 102.1 and 102.3 but I cant remember, it was called The Beat of Denver... Inside buildings the signal wasnt as strong as the other Denver stations, you really had to mess with your antenna, and still the stereo Pilot light would blink off and on,, it was kinda weak, but it was okay... I didnt have any trouble picking it up in the car, and it was one of the few Denver stations I Could receive in the Mountains on I-70, and up around Golden, and Central City.... And up at Rocky Mountain national Park and Fort Collins the signal was the only Denver station that would come in and not be Patchy, other than KTCL......

Re: Can anyone give any info on the former 102.1 X----Dance format

Well, 28 views and no response... I guess no one really knows or cares,, or couldnt pick the signal up.. All I really wanna know is the original Transmitters and or translators location or power,, im not asking about the programing.... I do hate the Denver lost the station, and I hate that 96.5 The Peak is gone, and the short lived Jammin 92.1 in 1996,, and the old sound of KTCL when they were alot more Daring and had great imaging and jocks and played alot of Obscure Electronica Dance tracks..

Right now in Denver, I really do enjoy 107.1 ONE FM KONN, and I like Indie 101.5 both really well,,, but I hope that their chances of Bankruptcy and their weak signals dont kill off these two stations,, the best stations Denver has seen in a while.. Denver really needed a CHR Top 40, and a Real Independant Local Alternative like Indie.. Really,, both KONN and Indie both have very powerful signals, but they are about 40-50 miles away,,, almost like trying to listen to KKMG or KSME.... KKMG was another favorite, but I could only pick it up in parts of Denver...

I used to like KQKS when it was on 104.3 and played more than just Rap, and I used to like Alice when they leaned Alternative and played alot of 80s new wave,,, Alice is now a Soccer MOM 90s and now AC station, and KQKS is all Rap, and KTCL is mostly EMO Teen Punk Bands

Hey M.W.C. check this out....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KRKY-FM

THis may help you, i do remember when my Best friend lived in Boulder a few years ago, she had mentioned a Dance Station.....
it's to bad there is nothing here except your mainstream Stuf..ie...KQKS.....KALC.. KONN is nice...but the Signal is horrible and now
their playlist is getting stale.....i hear "Single Ladies By Beyonce like 40 times a day.

RIP JAMMIN 92.5

Out of curiousity does anyone know where I might be able to find the tracklistings and or playlists for "02-1X" (KXDC). " AKA 102.1X

SFRADIO you are a life saver. Been looking for a corny song that played back in the day. And after preusing the list you sent and youtubing the song titles I found it. Miami Sound Machine may not be well known but they have the looks and the old school pop feel!

Thank you again !!!!
