I believe this is the same cable system that placed Classic Arts Showcase on ch 5 for the first several months that The CW was in operation. I believe they had a carriage dispute.

However, Ovid (just east of St. Johns) carries no Flint/Saginaw stations at all (but still has WOOD) despite (a) Ovid being closer to Flint than St. Johns is, (b) Ovid being almost right on the market boundary, and (c) Ovid-Elsie High School playing in a Saginaw-based league.

Western Cable is listed on Screener, but not on the FCC's Cable Search. Maybe they went out of business?
