Cable Channels Not Normally On Regular Cable

On your cable line-ups does anyone notice channels you would think that should be on digital cable and not regular cable?

Channels on my regular line-up that I feel should be on digital cable (as in a lot of areas these channels are only avaiable with a digital box:

Nick Jr.
VH-1 Classic
Lifetime Movie Network
Hallmark Channel
WE
Versus
National Geographic

*Speed used to be regular cable but just a couple weeks ago is only viewable with a digital box*

As for where I used to live none of these networks I listed above were avaiable on regular cable only digital cable

Chicago Comcast had TLN, Oxygen, Toon Disney, and others in the mid-2000s.

At one time, Cox had Discovery Health on its analog expanded system; GSN also made an appearance at one point.

Versus/OLN bounced from channel 65 to being a 100-series digital channel and has recently returned to channel 69 (though I think it is digital only still?).

Cox in Phoenix had MTV2 on analog Channel 30, right next to "original MTV," in the mid-2000's.

What is regular cable any more? I know where I am, Xfinity has just broadcast channels on analog "regular" cable. The rest of cable, even the cable channels under 100 are all digital. FiOS here just has digital cable. They totally did away with analog cable.

MetroCast in Sanford, ME has:

27 ESPN Classic
34 Fox Movie Channel
71 National Geographic
72 Lifetime Movie Network (I think I remember hearing a few years ago that Lifetime was making LMN a standard cable channel)

A few years ago Toon Disney used to be available on channel 68. It was replaced with SoapNet and was bumped to Digital.

MetroCast in Rochester, NH back in the 90s had OLN on channel 60 something.

Time Warner Cable in Cumberland County, ME has:

21 OWN
23 BET
32 WE
45 LMN
54 National Geographic
55 Hallmark Channel
65 Versus

And earlier this year Time Warner made some standard cable channels digital equipment required.

33 Oxygen
49 Travel Channel
53 truTV
71 CMT

Four or five years ago they also offered Fuse TV on standard cable.

Hallmark has always been on our analog cable. It's been on Channel 47, dating back to when it was the Odyssey Network. Before that, it was on the prime Channel 2 position, dating back to when it was the ACTS network.

Versus has always been on analog, dating back to the beginning of OLN because it's owned by Comcast.

ESPN Classic was on analog for several years on Channel 65, before it got moved to digital. Even Cartoon Network was moved to digital around here.

On Xfinity Fresno CA the only stations still on analog cable besides the locals are WGN America, ION National feed, and the TV Guide channel.
Xfinity does offer a small DTV converter with the basic lineup for free for 2 outlets.

Yeah, that's right! And they even had ESPN Classic on analog for a time. That was when I first moved here, because not long after, The Weather Channel moved from 42 to 69.

OLN was booted off analog wchen Cox began to carry KPDF-41 (Azteca) on cable channel 58. MSNBC moved to 65. At the time, we had one cable box that hadn't received the changes and still tuned MSNBC on 58 while every other box required 65. It never showed guide data either. That was May-July 2004 (finally, we had a T-storm, power outage and reboot that kicked the box back to normal).

Cox in Connecticut also had MTV2 on analog right next to MTV during the same time. That lasted a couple years. To put MTV2 next to MTV they had to move The Disney Channel which was right next to MTV at the time. Today the channel next to MTV is HLN
