Cable companies carrying subchannels

I’ve noticed that some cable providers are quicker to carry new subchannels than others. Xfinity I think usually picks them up fairly quickly, and Verizon comes in a close second. However, there are several subchannels in my market that are not carried by any providers. Most notably the subchannels of WSBK MyTV38. It has 4 subchannels.l; Heroes&International, Comet, Charge!, and Circle. None of the providers carry them. And WUTF 27 (UniMas) which used to be WUNI (Univision) has 4 subchannels too. LATV is carried, but none of the others are. Verizon has carried the WUNI (previously WUTF) subchannels for a long time, but Xfinity never has. And for Rhode Island PBS, they carry the main channel in the Boston market even though it’s an out of market channel, but not their subchannel, but they do in the Providence market.

I think a lot depends on agreements between cable systems and the local stations. Spectrum in Jackson, TN carries all of the local subchannels from WBBJ 7 (CBS with Me TV as filler on 7.3), WNBJ 39 (CW+), but none from WJKT 16 or WYJJ 27, which is nothing but diginets. From Memphis they carry the subchannels from WREG 3 in Memphis (Antenna TV and their 24 hour news channel) and Bounce and Circle from WMC 5 in Memphis, but not Grit or Court TV. But they carry nothing from WHBQ 13 but the main channel.

Also, Spectrum carries H&I, but from a direct feed. I wish this was done more, especially with the major diginets like Me TV.

Spectrum here in the Los Angeles area carries many of the popular diginets, such as MeTV (since it's on an .1), Antenna TV, both of the NBC O&O's subs (Cozi and LXTV), and all of the PBS diginets from the three local member stations. Both of the Court TV networks, as well as Decades, Laff, This TV, TBD, Grit, the previous-Light TV (now TheGrio.TV), Charge!, and Comet TV are all missing from the local Spectrum lineup--however, Locast carries all of those networks locally, except for This TV.

In KC area Google Fiber is the only one that carries Ion Plus,Qubo but not Sprectrumsportskc yet. CCI doesn't carry any KCTV5/KSMOTV ones, carries 38.2,38.4 but not 38.3 yet same with not yet Sprectrumsportskc,KUKC,KGKC,4,3,4.4 and so on. Sprectrumks not 38.3-4,Quest,Cozi TV,Circle and so on. Comcast,Mediacom and so on to missing some.

On Charter Spectrum in most of the Traverse City-Cadillac DMA, the following subchannels are carried:
The CW (WFQX-DT2)
MeTV (WWTV-DT3)
Create (WCMV-DT3)
Comet (WPBN-DT3)
Also, Heroes & Icons (no local affiliate) and ION (WFQX-DT3) are carried via their national feeds.
However, the following aren't carried:
WCMV-DT2 (PBS Kids) - oddly, Ludington and Big Rapids do carry WCMU/WCMW-DT2
WCMV-DT4 (Michigan Learning Channel)
WWTV-DT4 (Laff)
All of WMNN's subchannels (Start TV, Bounce, Court TV Mystery, Grit, TheGrio, Buzzr, Court TV, This TV, Antenna TV); WMNN's main channel is carried on Spectrum.

AcenTek, which serves Mesick, Buckley, and some other rural parts of the Traverse City-Cadillac DMA not served by Spectrum, carries the following subchannels:
The CW (WFQX-DT2)
MeTV (WWTV-DT3)
Laff (WWTV-DT4)
Comet (WPBN-DT3)
Bounce TV (WMNN-LD3)
Court TV Mystery (WMNN-LD4)
Grit (WMNN-LD5)
Court TV (WMNN-LD8)
Antenna TV (WMNN-LD10)
They don't carry any of WCMV's subchannels.

Charter Spectrum in Kazoo airs pretty much all the subchannels
Only ones they don't carry are Comet TV WWMT .3 kinda surprised by that, Comcast has Comet

ION sub-channels just the main feed,

WLLA .3 Hereos & Icon although that is carried nationally on Charter Spectrum,
Decades which is .4, .5 Retro TV which use to be .2 before Me TV which is on in the cable lineup,
WXMI .4 Charged .5 TBD kinda surprised that WWMT didn't add those sub-channels since Sinclair owns both diginets.

WZZM OnTarget Weather Network ACCUWeather local network not carried anymore on Charter Spectrum or Comcast kinda surprised that WZZM hasn't moved that to .4 or just get rid of it and move True Crime Network to .2 & Quest .3 which Charter Spectrum has both. WOTV .4 which is just weather radar and audio from the weather radio which for a long time was Wood TV's .2 which Charter Spectrum did put in the lineup which isn't on anymore.

Nexstar:
Wood TV:
Bounce .2
Laff .3
is on Charter Spectrum,

WOTV:
Grit TV .2,
GetTV .3,
is on Charter Spectrum,
WXSP:
Cozi TV .2,
Court TV Mystery .3.

Sinclair:
CW7 .2
is on Charter Spectrum,
Scripps:
Antenna TV .2
Court TV .3
is on Charter Spectrum,

TEGNA:
True Crime Network .3,
Quest .4
On Charter Spectrum,

Charter Spectrum has all of the PBS Subchannels.

I forgot to mention in my earlier post that Spectrum in Jackson, TN carries PBS Kids and Create from WLJT PBS 11 in my area.

GetTV is now Dabal that may move to ION subchannels last Monday WXMI Fox17 .3 Court TV was Court TV Mystery until sometime Tue which Court TV came back.
