If you don't pay for Comcast on cable, you watch NBC TV. Same with radio. Those who don't listen via the airwaves are choosing internet stations, many of which are owned by the same companies.

What you have described might be true for some people but it is not true for me and many others. I do watch a few things OTA but I watch more via alternate means. Few, if any, are owned by the major distributors. At present the Internet is a very inefficient way to 'broadcast' to a large number of viewers/listeners so one needs to be resourceful.
