Cablevision customers may need to pay for GSN

Got my cable bill yesterday...WENT UP (no shock there unfortunately). But in the news section on the side of the bill, it said that


As of 2/1/11, GSN will move from Family Cable to The iO Sports Pak.

For my service that's channel 75, but varies for other customers in New York and New Jersey.

Reason? Perhaps Cablevision thinks of GSN more as a sports network?!?!?! They moved ESPN Classic to that service, which means another $6.95 added on.
 
Well GSN does stand for "Game". I'm sure it was a toss-up between putting it with the sports channels or the animal channels! I wonder where they put Fox? :)

New rule: Any "network" or "service" or "channel" that consists of 30% or more material that would be classified as "rerun" material should be free!
 
It might be worth the extra $7 if they were showing the old "Joker's Wild"...
