I wonder why they put WRGB CBS Schenectady on Channel 8 when it transmits on Channel 6? At one time, some cable systems didn't run local channels on their correct channel number in case the over-the-air signal caused interference with the cable signal. But Saugerties is far enough from Albany-Schenectady to avoid this problem.

While they gave you all the NYC VHF commercial stations, they omitted WNET 13, New York's PBS station. If they didn't mind giving you duplicates of CBS, NBC and ABC, why not PBS?

Cablevision, The Cable Company that formally served Saugerties at the time didn't offer it at the time either it's signal was weak, or had no room to put it on there, the town would eventually get Channel 13 around the late 1990s (1997 Perhaps) once Time Warner took over from Cablevision as the town's Cable TV Provider.
