Cablevision's Tribune Trouble

It's the usual BS over carrying fees. But the anger is at hedge funds which run Tribune, which like most businesses in this deliberately destroyed economy, filed for bankruptcy. As a result...

Tribune-owned properties including WPIX, WCCT, WTIC (for those in New Haven and Litchfield) even Antenna TV...GONE.
 
I saw WTIC-TV's misleading ad about the squabble tonight during their news. Never once do they tell you that most can still get them for free with an antenna! (Rattlesnake Mountain gives me my best results, with 20, 24, 30 and 61 all being solid here in New Britain's south end.)

The truth is that most shares in publicly-traded companies these days are owned by hedge funds. Chances are that just as large a percentage of Cablevision shares are held by hedge funds as Tribune shares.
