Cactus Jack

Just saw this at Country Aircheck:

Former KKBQ/Houston afternoon host "Cactus Jack" Talley is currently on life support at Memorial Herrmann Hospital in Katy, TX after suffering what his wife Pam describes as a "severe heart attack" last night (9/5). Talley retired in 2019 after 27 years with KKBQ.
Before going to Houston, he spent many years at Z100/NY as Jack Da Wack. He joined Z100 when the station launched in 1983.

IIRC, he came to 93Q when it first switched from Top 40 to country. Nancy Alexander and Danny Gsrcia were holdovers from the old format, and Jack was one of the 1st new voices (if not the 1st) brought in. In any case, here's hoping for a speedy recovery for him. He's one hell of a talent.
