Caddy gets the "Kicks" morning gig!

Sandy is a great lady and a great talent - it would be great to see a nice and emotionally healthy person get promoted in radio.

Good for Cadillac. He's done a great job for them, and he deserves it. I also would love to hear Sandy Weaver in afternoon drive. She sounds great on Kicks.

Caddy runs the tightest board I've ever heard. Always on the ball (as opposed to Steve Mitchell on Eagle: 'And we just heard from....oh, who was that?') He's really, really good at radio. Whether or not he's good at morning radio will be borne out. I hope it goes well - my buddies at the old y106/y104 say he's a good guy.

Congrats to Caddy!! I think it was a great choice for all the reasons I've previously written.I hope Caddy's agent bent the GM over the couch in negotiations. To the GM and PD at KICKS: You guys got it right for a change. I predict that Caddy will be your morning guy until he gets tired of it or retires. You made a wonderful choice. You promoted from within. WOW! Now, give afternoon drive to Bill Celler and get someone new for mid-days....you could promote from within again, fellas. How about Sandy?I'm listening to the broadcast this morning, and Jill Kelly is conspicuously absent. Could it be that she got shown the door? Don't tease me like that!Caddy, Jim and Kristin already sound very good together. This is going to be a pleasure to listen to.

Caddy and Kristen have a great on air chemistry. An excellent move by management to 'kick it' up a notch! Now, what will they do with the lull from 10-7?? Bill and Sandy are nice people and adequate air personalities. But, if Kicks wants to move up in market ranking, they are going to have to do better than status quo during that period. Perhaps their style works for mid-days, if folks are relying on radio for background sound, but it does not play well for drive time, when folks want to be entertainingly distracted from the insane Atlanta traffic etiquette. Wylie is a good choice and brought personality and interest to her week on drive time. She runs a tight board and knows her artists. She also knows what listeners are interested in hearing; certainly not Moron Moment. Those wishing a sedate country station can tune in Eagle. Kicks needs to be lively and timely. Heard a station will change format and step up to challenge Kicks. Listeners will be the winners when that happens!
