I don't know if any of you watched that Huskies suck fest on Saturday on KSTW.
The highlight of watching the game on TV was play by play from Kevin Calabro.
My jaw dropped when I heard his voice at the start of the telecast. Calabro? Football? No way.
While he seemed a little rusty at calling football, bottom line is he is an experienced pro and sounded way better than most of the amateurs FSN puts behind the mic. His brilliance is his ability to think on his feet and describe the game quickly and intelligently when an action play goes down. He sounded great every time there was major action in the game. I'd love to hear him do more football games.
For as good as he was calling a football game (probably his first time in years) I'm surprised that he hasn't jumped to a major network like ESPN to be a Musberger type doing football in the fall and basketball all winter long. Of course, if the Sonics move to OKC, perhaps the timing will be right for him to make a move.
