call letter change for wilw 94.3 ?

i was listening to wogl 98.1 in the philly area , to the bob pantano show , and the dub was put on , saying they were being simulcasted on wzew or wezw or something like that ... i think 94.3 in wildwood might have changed their calls.. any one on here have any info. on that ? as of a week or two ago , bob pantano show had only one simulcasted station ( keeps changing ) wtth 96.1 in atlantic city ...

thanks, sam !!! ( by the way , you had met me at september's in springfield in the late 80's - you with your dad) ... i could have sworn the dub on wogl mentioned 94.3 simulcasted (like they used to do) ... and yes , 96.1 does simulcast on 93.1 , the old " the duck"

this change simply must have been super recent , right ?

The history of the 93.1 Wildwood Crest facility.

WEZW 09/15/2006
WDTH 10/16/2003
WBNJ 03/01/1999
WDOX 05/17/1990

94.3 Avalon is still WILW.

thank you cawasinnj.... i could have sworn though that the bob pantano show said 94.3 ... i think their dub has the right call letters , but their previous frequency that they used to simulcast on ...

What WOGL has is correct, frequency, call letters and Legal ID ...
I set up the equipment at WTTH for the simulcast, and have listened
to it every week to make sure all is well. Maybe they made a mistake
and said it wrong live once, but I never heard that.

... tom
(who once said Rock 101 on EAZY 101 ... since I worked at Rock 104)

Tom, I think we've all been there. I have a tape of Dan Ingram 1961, "for all of you on WIL St. Louis (pause) er, WABC New York"

It's a common mistake, especially when a jock has been at the previous station for a long time, then winds up going "across the street". You are trained a certain way and then some habits are hard to break, so it's eazy for a jock to blurt out his former calls/positioner. If they continue to do it, then there's a problem.
