The J in WJUL was just a random letter in order to get the UL for University of Lowell I was on the engineering staff there when it flipped from WLTI (Lowell Technological Institute) and was in studio when LTI signed off and JUL signed on.

WHEB ...His Eternal Blessing ! I know, I worked there with Don Kelly, EJ Crummey, Duncan Dewer (what ever happened to him ?), Bill Silver...and, I think Garabedian was just wrapping up some kind of programming consultancy (pre-GTR) there...
