"Call me sometime" -Bob Shieffer

Anybody watch the CBS Evening News a few moments ago??
Or atleast the end?

As we all know, the standard begining to a newscast is "Good Evening", and the standard ending is "Good Night". Well apparently Bobby is too good for those. But tonight was honestly frightening.

To close the newscast, Shieffer said, AND I DIRECTLY QUOTE:

"That's the news tonight. I'm Bob Shieffer from CBS News. Call me sometime."

And the newscast ends!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
I'M REALLY SCARED NOW!!!

That man is not fit for the national broadcast. I hate to watch him because I am always afraid that he is just going to shrivel up on his desk and turn into a fig. Whatev.

Call me sometime!

Ha, its so good, I might have to change my signature!

Actually he was reffering to a story about the future of seeing TV shows and in his own words before that break to that last segment "The CBS Evening News" on your cellphone and iPods.

Sounds like "ChrisTheListener" wasn't listening closely enough to the actual newscast.

My favorite along those lines was this spring on ABC News Now, when the anchor ended the show with "Thank you both for watching."

One classic came when ABC started its news with Barbara Walters co-anchoring with a ton of hype. That was Monday. On Tuesday, David Brinkley started the NBC Nightly News with "Welcome back."

Hate?

I just made a statement of opinion, based on your post, as to what I believed could be factual.

And -- to post my frequent reminder -- just because I am a moderator doesn't mean everything I post is AS a moderator.<P ID="signature">______________
