Callers to WEEI

Maybe it's my imagination, but I could swear that the same callers are calling into WEEI under various names? I can't remember specifically, but I was listening yesterday to the Big Show, and one guy called in but he sounded just like another regular caller who calls in using another name.

Are these callers staged, or real callers? Just curious.

On another note, I typically listen to Dale & Holley and The Big Show (and sometimes Planet Mikey), but I'll be glad when their stint in Arizona is through. I've heard a bit too much this week about how bad the hotel is that the guys at the Big Show are staying in.

Oh yes...unfortunately they are broadcasting from "THE PARTY." Dale & Holley are on right now. I like that duo mind you, but honestly, I do not want to hear all this blathering about this great party that the majority of us couldn't afford to go to. Perhaps it's sour grapes, but I'm sick to death about hearing about how wonderful it is for them to be there at this event. Not to mention all the celebrity butt-kissing that has taken place all week long--both D&H as well as the Big Show.

And yes, I was shedding tears yesterday about how much they want to be home. Yeah, right. ???

I would imagine that about 95% of 'EEI's audience are people who work for a living and couldn't make it to a Super Bowl in their wildest dreams. You would think that station management would tell them to stop complaining about their all expenses paid trip to AZ in the middle of winter.

Also, I notice that 'EEI personalities, like to brag about their perks on the air. The car deals, the free clothes, the Meat House food etc. I've never heard other stations do this. Is it common in other markets.

I think every single "everyday joe" would jump at the chance to head to the superbowl on company dime....I know if my company offered me a free room, free tickets, and free food I'd jump at that opportunity...does that make me a prick? no...but there are plenty of other reasons you could consider me one, just not for taking advantage of the freebies

i listened to a lot of the broadcast from the party. it was, as expected, horrible

just wondering...are they still going to play the game tomorrow? or are they just going to hand the trophy to the patriots? the big show gang and all of those weei callers seem to think this one is in the bag. why waste time playing the game? the giants should just give up..eh?

You completely missed the point. Of course we all would take it, but would you go on public airwaves and complain about it? Especially knowing that you have it better than 98% of the people listening. Then yeah I'd gladly call you a PRICK!!
