Calling all activists: Rally/meeting to save WBAI

Someone forwarded an email about WBAI to me. A lot good this will do, a protest to save WBAI won't help save it.

I'm half tempted to go there and slap some sense into those people by suggesting they sell 99.5 for an AM station
 
How about instead of occupying, I mean rallying, they donate to try to save it? That will accomplish more than this rally will.

With all the charitable organizations out there, why in the world would anyone donate their money to a radio station?

I donated $87.70 to Pulse 87.7 4 years ago when they were begging for money one day. And I "donated" much more than that in losses when Mega Media's stock price fell.

Both the Pulse 87 and WBAI financial problems are because of mismanagement at the top. For Pulse, the top management essentially planned for it to fail in order to personally profit, and milked the investor's money and advertising revenue for themselves. For WBAI, the programming is a mess and appeals to few people, and management is stubborn to recognize that they don't need the beachfront property that is 99.5. WBAI is behind the out of market stations and only ahead of the HD2s in the ratings.

Well, if they wanted to try to save their beloved radio station, they would. Would I donate to one? Nah, but I also wouldn't waste my time protesting to try to save it/get it back.
