Calling All Winamp Wiz Kids

I am trying to figure out a way to easily combine two playlists in winamp. One playlist would be the usual music that we play all year. The second playlist consists of all holiday tunes.

Here is The Catch...

I want to be able to have the holiday songs play consistently every 5 songs, so every 5th song is a holiday song. I don't have the time to sit there each day and manually insert these songs.

What I do during most of the year, is that I go to the buttons on the bottom and do a "Sort list by" and one of the options is "Randomize list" This works quite well, but then when you want to mix in holiday songs in random order but every 5th song, it gets more complicated.

I am hoping there is a fairly simple solution to this. Like a plugin perhaps?

Best Regards, -Russty

Russty,

Try ProppFrexx 2.9 Net... here is the link:

http://classic.winamp.com/plugins/details.php?id=133714

This plugin allows you to manage the playlists to control which songs you want to play, it's a little complicated at first but you'll master it in a short time...

..."ProppFrexx will schedule your program, select the tracks automatically from your media libraries according to your script and will cue them to Winamp."...

That would be my reccomendation as well, there is a few other plugins out there, can't think of thier names, but can be found by going to winamp's web site and searching through the plugins.

If you want to take the time, Prophet makes a free music scheduler that is very powerful and will allow you to general a mp3 playlist. It will even let you set time rules and any thing else that you will probably ever want to do. Like the other, it takes a little time to set up, but once it is setup, I think you would really like it.

The prophet Systems Musicgen is NO LONGER free. That version has been replaced with a pay version with a 30 day demo.
