Calling Donald Trump... Maybe he can save oldies for NY?

Before you laugh, this is so crazy it just might work!
We need someone to call Donald Trumps office, and ask if he can buy a radio station. Yes, really!

Ok, everyone here is going "Geez, Garrett, you've fallen on your head!"
But hear me out. Mr. Trump has a tendency to take on causes. Some of them less likely to succeed (like the Twin Towers), and some perhaps more likely. This could be something he could do just for New York. All he has to do is buy a frequency. He has the money to do it. He probably doesn't even listen to the radio. But still, maybe this could work.

Hey Donald Trump, buy a radio station so we can put oldies on it!
Thoughts?

Jack Says: Maybe He Can Fire This Thread

I personally don't foresee Trump making a foray into broadcasting anytime soon. I think he'll stick with "The Apprentice" - which, by the way, sure made many people forget about his ill-fated late 80's game show "Trump Card" - and that's about it.<P ID="signature">______________

Re: Jack Says: Re: Mayor Bloomberg

I don't think Mayor Bloomberg is going to turn his station into Solid Gold either. And he has a station. Though, if he wants to get reelected this November, he may get a lot of votes by bringing oldies back to the city.

In a related story in a joint, history making coalition, Al Sharpton and Al Bandeiro have joined forces to bring back Jammin 105!

Of course, he could buy another station, but it probably makes more sense for him to buy the election directly with all the feel-good television spots he's running.

Re: Jack Says: Re: Mayor Bloomberg

Considering that older people vote in the highest percentage, I am expecting some government action to bring back WNEW(AM) or WQEW.
