You might want to read the "Who Do We Call" thread in the Cincinnati board:

Randy created the "Power Pig" (WFLZ/Tampa) under Jacor. Got it's name b/c the power was so much that a staffer was overheard by Randy referring to the station as a "power pig". I believe that staffer was Jeff Laurence, now a national vo talent.

At that time i was creative director for Jacor in Tampa..also doing middays on 93.3 (Then olides Z93) The morning man was Jack Harris..the station sounded great but was making no money, and mediocre ratings..When I would come in to do my midday air shift, I always had a stack of production to do, so Jack would offer to "stay on the board and run this pig" while I went to the adjoining room to crank out a few spots. The station was 100kw and really just using a lot of electricity, so the two of us started calling it the "Power Pig" Randy was in town and got wind of our nickname for FLZ, and when he went after Q105..he called it Power 93..The Power Pig.

We were all issued pink spraypaint and went out to the parking lot and spray pained the Z93 vehicles pink!

WHAT a station! I still have a few airchecks laying around..pretty amazing station (although not with me jocking..I was clueless)
