Calvary Chappel New LPFM Bremerton

Our good friends in Twin Falls, Idaho have found yet another opportunity in Bremerton as they have applied for a new Low Power FM near the Navy docks. So that means bub-bye to their channel 205 translator on Gold? Likely not as CSN run several different satellite programs throughout the country via translator.

Those affected have 30 days to file a Petition to Deny. However, all of this might be rendered moot, as First Broadcasting is still pushing the 104.5 allocation. But it really makes you wonder.

If there is a connection between C C of Twin Falls and C C of Bremerton, WA, it is not apparent from the application...

Is this perhaps an independent C C with no connection to the bad C C of T F ?

This is one of the CC applications that the FCC originally dismissed for not being a local entity. A lot of questionable actions went on with these applications, which were submitted in bulk by Idaho.

This application is very much indeed related to Twin Falls. It's even one of the ones the FCC did not want to grant. Twin Falls approached the local churches and asked them to apply in their name, to get around the "local" requirement. Very shady-- but some feel it's okay to not play by the rules if it's in the "name of God".

The CC lawyers have been hard at work to get these applications reinstated, and it looks like they have had some success.

From my perspective -- that's a very succint description of our current White House occupants as well as many conservative talk stations!

Those affected will be The Mercer Island School District (KMIH), Sandusky who wanted to have a KWRM translator in Bremerton as Bremerton is their principal service community, and KGHP, Gig Harbor which has a translator at 104.5 down their run by the Peninsula School District.
