Ok - worked for this station that got one of Leonard Kahn's CAM-D units. Station got a new transmitter and sold, so the CAM-D unit is just sitting around. Retail its up to $65,000 based on the last post on wrathofkahn, but if you want to see it and find out if it works for you - 30 day free trial - you pay S&H both ways. You like it? (It does improve the quality and range) - deep discount available as we have no use for it as we're without an AM station. PM me if you're interested.

With no commercially available CAM-D receivers on the market (that I know of), you might as well be offering free demos on cinder blocks.

True - no CAM-D receivers, but it helps analog radios too...

I remember the station I engineered was Kahn AM Stereo and I did a DIY "Powerside" for a test I ran for the national Radio Club. Some folks thought they actually heard the test better running in pseudo Powerside mode.

Last I heard, CAM-D is really just Power-Side with the added ability to transmit a slow speed digital data stream, like RDS. Kahn's original plan of CAM-D being AM Stereo with digital audio enhancement never materialized, because the FCC did not re-approve use of Kahn AM Stereo.

Well, I'd give it a try. My 1620 is all beat up from being 30 khz off the DA hot end of 1590 WCGO, so if I could throw all the mod on the upperside, I'd squeeze another 175 ft of coverage in.

PM sent...And how much does this weigh?
