Camping Apologizes

I'm surprised that this hasn't been brought up yet, but Harold Camping has apologized for his false prophecise concerning the Rapture: http://www.examiner.com/prophecy-in...gizes-for-failed-rapture-prophecy-open-letter

Of course he put a spin on it that claims although he was wrong that God used it to reach people for Him. I guess it's possible some people became Christians through all this, but how many people did Camping's predictions repel from becoming Christians or gave up on their faith because of it?
 
Matthew 24:11: And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
