Shown absolutely no evidence from either the local or corporate management that they've got
actual plans or even a basic desire to improve WHJJ.
Weirdest station I've ever seen.
Went from a major media player to a bottomfeeder in this market in two years and nobody over there seems to care.
 
Well I think picking up Michael Savage was good and so was dumping Air America. Imus is an old Goat but at least he's an old Goat with a successful history. So the station could be worse. I grade them a "C+"
 
I think they had to dump air america. that station was plummeting fast. bill g doesnt have the authority to fire anyone. ask anyone at whjj what that guy does all day, the 2 things you will hear, "B.G. gets on my nerves" and "I have no idea what he does" although he's not as bad as steve peck..
 
Two very nice workers at HJJ tell ( I was gonna say 3, but decided NOT to lie!) me B.G. is a smart quite guy.
I think the Savage move was balls to the walls!
What Im told is Corwin runs the station way too much for B.G. to do what he may like to do.
And nothing against Steve Peck, but B.G. is head and ears ( can I say ears?) above him. ;D ;D ;D ;D

HOW HE GOT INTO THE HJJ JOB IS FAR BEYOND ME, AND ANYONE ELSE WHO IS A TRUE PROFESSIONAL AND KNOW'S THEIR RADIO BUSINESS KNOW'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.

BILL, IF YOUR READING THIS, TAKE SOME VERY GOOD ADVICE AND GET THE HELL OF OF THE BUSINESS, PERHAPS RETAIL IS MORE SUITED FOR YOU!
 
Wouldn't go that far. He's a good guy. Its his afternoon Dynamic Dunce Duo of Barte and Violet that makes the station stink like so many unwashed velour pantsuits. (15 Seconds, mista senata)
 
he might be a good guy personally, but he's not a PD. He destroyed a good radio station at WSSH in Boston...he wasn't ready then and still isn't.

Interesting how all of the people who post regarding HJJ and PRO all have only a small handfull of posts. I wonder if it's one person with 10 different names slamming the people they don't like at either station? Things that make you go hmmmmmmm...

P.S. Bill George has very little say as to what goes on at that radio station. Jim Corwin calls the shots. Thus the .09

EXACTLY! THAT'S WHY HE IS NOT THEIR PD...A GOOD PROFESSIONAL PD/OPS MANAGER WOULD NEVER ALLOW ANYONE, ESPECIALLY A GM TO CALL THE PROGRAMMING/FORMATIC SHOTS AT ANY GOOD STATION! BELIEVE ME, I KNOW THIS FROM FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE! I RE-SIGNED A VERY GOOD PROGRAMMING POSITION IN PROVIDENCE FOR THAT VERY REASON!

WITH THAT SAID, I WISH BILL GEORGE ALL THE LUCK IN THE WORLD, HE WILL NEED IT IN THE FUTURE......
