can dsp-xtra fm be flashed with am firmware?

what the subject says, I'm wondering if this box could be repurposed for our AM station when we make an upgrade to the FM?

I've got 4 "Xtra"s, and have been looking for the same opportunity.

While Broadcast Warehouse does list the DSPXtra-AM as an available product, they haven't posted any flash downloads for it, like they have their other processors. It could mean that it's still running its "version 1", though I suppose it could also mean they haven't sold any of them.

Best thing to do, as far as I'm aware, is to check their web site from time to time.

Although Scott might chime in here at some point why not ask them directly, they have great and fast support. But if Goran says it can't be done I'd believe him.

Well, I'm not working for BW Broadcast for over a year now, so you should really check with the company.

While I was there, there wasn't a possibility to upgrade an FM to AM processor, especially the DSPXtra. But, things might have changed in the meanwhile...

Goran Tomas
