During commercial breaks on streams of CBS Radio stations, I will occasionally hear promos for celebrity interviews done on sister stations, directing listeners to that station's website to hear it. So this week, I hear a promo for an interview with the Red Sox' Dustin Pedroia. After a brief summary of the contents of the interview, the announcer then tells listeners to hear the full interview at... Oldies 103.3's website.
Of all the stations in CBS' Boston cluster, wouldn't the most logical choice be the new Sports Hub? Clearly, the organization lets players do interviews with stations other than its Entercom flagships, but it's a little odd that they had the interview on its oldies station, now knowing that there is a new sports station in the family. Unless it was secured well in advance of the format flips on 98.5 and 104.1...
Then again, the oldies station in New York City, CBS-FM, is getting a lot of flak from its listeners for airing New York Giants preseason football games, so I could be wrong...
