i gotta wonder, maybe some guys on here will know, can Rover legally play audio from MWL's current show since they are owned by different companies? he's been throwing out clips from Max's apartment story confessions whenever they wanna make a gay joke or a joke on Max fo any reason it seems. I thought they couldn't do that, but maybe I'm wrong.

Off in far-fetched land, wouldn't be interesting if CBS/'NCX approves of this usage as a back door way to generate interest in "The Maxwell Show", and that CC/'MMS wants to do it as a way to heat up a radio rivalry that they see themselves winning as they are the bigger show. They may see that having a peer-six brawl will increase their 'man-talk' brand, and thus ratings. In other words, could this be audio pro-wrestling (without the "Grips, Grunts and Groans")?
The FCC regs mean nothing. I can't recall in 40+ years a station getting popped for this. The regulations would also not apply if the source material was a podcast.
And if the regs are so important, how did M-105 retransmit the Springsteen concert from the Coliseum from a tuner locked at 100.7 and not get in trouble?

Everyone was tuned into Maxwell the day he admitted he had sex with a man. I'm pretty sure Rover's listeners were glad to supply Rover with that audio considering there is no love loss between the two shows

To get it as clear as Rover has it as well, it would have to have been taken straight from the original recordings. unless someone has a setup to digitally record all of MWL/NCX off their web stream or Radio.com app or something, but then that seems like they could still run into that FCC regulation that was posted earlier

Rover can't play the audio. Well, he CAN until he's given a C&D.
I don't see how Rover can have anything on Maxwell that would get him fired. It's not the gay thing, so it must be something illegal..and in that case, wouldn't Rover be guilty because he knows about it and isn't saying anything? Like, accessory or something?

Oh, and I have no doubt that Rover is deliberately recording Maxwell's show for playback. He has this VERY odd obsession over a host that becker5 repeatedly claims is headed for cancellation over and over... so much so Rover probably think he's above the law doing so.
