Can the new "AM Frequency of the Week" thread be pinned each week?

Would it be possible to pin the current "AM Frequency of the Week" thread at the top under "The DX band scan forms are back!" thread each week?

Lately there has a lot of bumping of older threads, and while that's fine for many of them, it causes confusion with the older frequency of the week threads. When those older frequency threads are bumped up, some people think they are the current week's thread. Also, what some of us have posted in those older threads may no longer be valid when the frequency comes up again.

If it's possible to do this, the previous frequency of the week thread could be unpinned once the new week's frequency thread is posted and pinned.

I think Jim's idea has a lot of merit. Bottom line for me is I'm fine with what the rest of you guys decide. And whatever is cool with Frank and David. My only suggestion would be give it two weeks instead of just one before we unpin it. But again, I'm still fine with whatever is decided.

Thanks, Cyberdad. I think keeping it pinned for two weeks is a good idea since some of us occasionally might not get to post during that first week due to circumstances.

Hi all. Let us think about it. I would like to find a way to automate the process rather than requiring us to pin and unpin the threads (because I know that I'll forget from time to time). We'll figure something out.

I think pinning the AM and FM ones for two weeks is a good idea. I would also suggest permanently pinning the "Post your latest DX" post.

Like Frank says, if this can be automated in some way via the XenForo software, then maybe it'd be something to consider. Conversely, while I've seen a few "It'd nice to have" requests like this one, I think we as users at times forget that designing, moderating and maintaining this site isn't really a full-time position for Frank or David, nor do they have a staff of underlings to assist. It's a great site, it costs us nothing to sign up and take part and we in the radio/TV community (in whatever capacity) are lucky to have it available to us. It may not be feasible to implement every request that simply offers a bit of convenience to members, but may cause more work for the moderators.
