Can this be confirmed?

Re: the 107.9 translator for WJRZ: someone from the station (10-20 years ago) told me the reason for this is: in the summer then "100 K-H-I" (99.9
Ocean City MD) would come blasting up the coast so strong it would knock out WJRZ in Manahawkin. Check your maps to see that the Waretown
site of WJRZ-100.1 is several towns North of Manahawkin.

And less credible hearsay was that WHTG-FM had fans in Brooklyn thus the need for the translator to help them hear the station, albeit
by translator on 105.5. Once there was a WDHA billboard near the Costco on Route 35 North in Holmdel area. They've continued rocking while
NY can't sustain an non-classic rock station, but perhaps that's fodder for a different discussion.

Anyone remember when W276AQ had 97.5 WPST on it ?
This was somewhere in the mid to late 1980's ...

Yes I do. I was in college at the time, and remember hearing them plug the 103.1 translator every now and then on PST.

105.5 in Sandy Hook would never be able to be heard in Brooklyn, there's a pirate station on 105.5 and 105.7. 106.3 wouldn't be able to be heard in Brooklyn either, there's a 106.3 pirate.
