Can Universal/NBC take over Revision3 and Digg.com

I see some trend that this can happen in the next few years or so. As everyone know Revision3 is a internet television or (IPTV) power house for last couple years or so. The founder of digg.com and Revision3 Kevin Rose has been surprisingly have more air time on NBC than ever.

First up, Universal/NBC had setup a booth for Revision3 at CES 2009 event. It was more of marketing tool for Jimmy Fallon and his new Late Night show after Conan O'Brien's departure to LA. However, Jimmy Fallon was invited to be on Diggnation episode 185. Okay... make sense Jimmy might need more air time to appeal to the IPTV audience. But what doesn't make sense is that Why did Universal/NBC did support Revision3. There is a motive for every action for everything. As I recall from early on, Comcast, the largest broadband internet and cable television provider has setup booth for Tech TV circa 2003 in various of events. Just one year later, Valcon who was parent company for Tech TV has agree to sell probably it's only property which was Tech TV to Comcast. Just couple months later, Tech TV's programs were gone and a new breed of programs emerges.

Second, just couple months later, on march 12th, 2009. Jimmy Fallon has invited back Kevin Rose and Co-host Alex Albertect to promote Digg.com and revision3. Again things happened for a reason.

If Universal/NBC will take over Revision3 and as well as Digg.com, NBC will be the next media giant as if they were not enough already.

I certainly hope that if NBC buys Rev3, that it is absolutely *nothing at all* like what happened to TechTV after Comcast bought it. (Namely, a wholesale gutting of any "tech" shows in favor of a bunch of syndicated junk.)
It might be an idea if NBC would let Revision3 cheaply (or perhaps at no charge) run some of their programs late at night on MSNBC or CNBC (perhaps even on weekends) and this would allow viewers to easily DVR the shows.
