Can we get a Sports FM puh-leeze?

Isn't time for a Sports FM in O-Town? We just got WDBO (News/Talk), now we can we get a full sports format? ESPN is on 95.9 in Brevard and now Jacksonville has two sport FM's (92.5 & 106.9). Even a AM simulcast on a LPFM is fine.

It'll be a matter of time...but in the coming years in every major city, I'd say there will be at least one sports-talk FM.

I believe that in cities with Spanish FM stations, or, cities with varied tastes in music, it'll take longer. There's only so many FM frequencies available.

But, give it time.

Hmm ... 104.1 must have about 14 paid on-air voices (monsters 4.5, bs 3, phillips 4, sbk 3) ... seems if you drop them for 2 part time morning sport guys from the newspaper and an afternoon duo that does sells as well [make amends with the Coach].. you could put crystal clear sports on an 100,000 watt station that would cover Orlando and Tampa ... you fill late morning and midday with syndicate .(Dan Patrick, Rome) and then do Fox Sports 7pm-5am. Really do it right and pick up Dolphins Football and NASCAR for practically "free" ... you got a cheap station grabbing male 18-54 at 1/3rd the employee cost ... would it work? Maybe take a chance and let Bucket Head do a more sports oriented evening talk vs. his lame "Joe the Trash Man" talk show.

You could put the Monsters on JRR (move Crash to middays) ... and not lose that OK draw ... Phillips is minutes away from retiring and nobody on his team can carry on ... so why not pull the trigger now and make it happen?
