WOKO 98.9FM has a 100kw signal from down in Burlington with large foot print. Is it possible that this station could join the other two FMs on Mt. Mansfield with less output power but cover much of the same area with increased coverage to the east and south without over-lapping with other stations?

And yet, they actually DO need a station that plays real country music. The drivel coming out of Nashville these days is phonier than a 3 dollar bill. A quote I saw somewhere recently: "Lady Antebellum: Country music for people who hate country music."
WOKO used to be a full Class C station and had the capability to move to Mount Mansfield in the early 80's. Due to the cost and hassle, including political/environmental with trying to add another tower or mounting on one of the existing towers there, a decision was made to drop the station's FCC designation to a C1 and stay at 100KW in the existing location. The primary market, where the advertising dollars are is in the Burlington area. There is little income to be gained elsewhere. A move probably could not be made now. Can you say Act 250?
