Can Ya Top This?

Just when Nurse Jeff and I thought we'd heard it all, comes Pat McBland's Thursday's Toaster Topic on KT'R: "...with the record heat in the Valley this summer, I wanna know if you're thinking of moving away?.." He's way past the point of being bad that we're now finding this good entertainment! Perhaps TMISU will piggyback McBland with KSL's Nightside so listeners on the left and right coasts can enjoy the fine art of Toaster Talking.

??? ??? ??? Is It Hot Where You Are? ??? ??? ??? Where Are You Moving? ??? ??? ??? Is It Raining Where You're Going To Move? ??? ??? ??? Is There A Big Apple Where You're Moving? ??? ??? ??? Is It Me or Is It Still 1976 Where You Are? ??? ??? ???

When I listen to topics like this, my stomach thinks of moving.....

If you move, make sure to move to a Lennar home, with a roof by Monty of Ki-Ko Roofing

Yah, I can! PMac also rehashed an Ankarlo guest from a MONTH AGO!

Author Gustavo Arellano (Writes a politically incorrect column in the Phoenix New Times).
2:05 p.m. - The author of "Ask a Mexican" talks to Pat.

Can't wait to hear who's on the McBland Group Friday! (Great show web page, by the way! Doesn't even mention what's coming up the next day, nor a McMahon Group every Friday, 2p-3p! Geeez! [Or is that "Geezer"]. So much for tending to details!).

Regis Philban is contemplating retirement at 76, maybe you should too Pat at 74.

Dr. Kelly and I want to know why you listen if he sucks so bad.

As we said in our original post, McBland has gone so far beyond bad he is now good entertainment. When KT'R moved to 92~three, where Hip Hop Used To Live, the Nurse and I felt McBland's brand of Toaster Talk would harm their efforts to attract anyone under the age of 55. KT'R-FM is a significantly better station today than a year ago, but a large speed bump remains between 1-4pm. We continue to listen as one day Toaster Talk will only be heard in museums...plus we're doing it for the children! ::)

Mcbland is a guilty pleasure to be sure.

Its not outright stupid radio like Aunt Carlos, its just fascinating to hear what may have been cutting edge back in 1975 pawned off as interesting radio.

Coming up next, Beta or VHS, what are you going to buy?
