Bob Purse's "Inches Per Second" blog of found audio on reel-to-reel tapes recently shared this hodgepodge of dirty jokes, piano practice, and assorted tomfoolery that also includes a few minutes of KQV radio. 🤯
The two songs by Jerry Woodard and Brenda Lee (neither was complete on the tape) are from Spring 1963 and the "wonderful weekend" drive-safely PSA voiced by "The Voice of Death" (don't ride with him) could refer to the Easter weekend, which was April 14 of that year. The still chilly temperatures could also line up with that time of year.
So is there enough material here to identify who the announcer is? I've scoped out the relevant KQV material here.
