Canada AM Station

e-dawg said:
Is there a website that list old AM station before they move to FM.

i.e. CBL 740 AM move to 99.1 FM.

If you download this file and unzip it, you get a pile of .DBF files. Open AMSTATIO.DBF in Excel and you get the official Canadian AM database. (there's also a FMSTATIO.DBF and a TVSTATIO.DBF)

In most cases the old AM stations are still in there, with their frequency prepended. So the defunct CKVL-850 Montreal is in the file not as CKVL, but as 850CKVL; defunct CBO-920 Ottawa is there as 920CBO.

It doesn't cross-reference to the new FM, and in some cases the station didn't move to FM - it was deleted entirely. Also, if a new AM station took over the frequency, the record for the old station is lost. (there is no 740CBL, because CHWO took over the frequency & it's listed under those calls.)
