Canada's got talent aired today in Canada (Sunday March 4, 2012) at 8pm, up against TWO MAJOR American shows.

It's pretty much always been that way. Of course there are exceptions but by and large Canadian based shows outside of their news and sports are complete garbage. Border cities like Toronto, Vancouver and Windsor/London have always enjoyed a bit of both with their CBC and our big 3. Instead of incurring the expense of producing shows in house it's cheaper just to buy the airing rights of our shows, simsub in their commercials and lean back and let the money roll in.FreddyE1977 said:Why is it assumed that Canadians would rather watch an American show?

Maybe to make room for "Alcatraz", though it seems it's not simsubbed in most areas (it airs on Citytv at 8PM in Toronto, while it's on Fox at 9PM).
