...and that's exactly it. I could see Evanov group wanting that station too. Not just Durham radio inc.

CIDG 101.9 Ottawa increased power but I see they are using a directional array to avoid interference with CJSS in Cornwall. But I bet its probably still a mess on 101.9 between Casselman and the Greater Ottawa area.

It may seem like an uphill battle for CIDG to survive, but then again, don't forget who serves what market.
Good point about all the places in between.
Places like Casselman deserve to have a clear signal from ONE station with no overlap.

At this point the CIDG power increase is just an application, it has not been approved yet.

Despite CIDG's reception problems and setbacks I see that they made a bigger splash in their debut book with a 1.8 compared to Astral's CJOT (EZ Rock) which came in with a 1.0. Both stations signed on about the same time last year.

I don't know the Ottawa radio market extremely well, but it would seem to me EZ Rock wasn't filling in any particular market need - don't they have the same format as KISS and Majic 100? At least Dawg appears to have something unique.

EZ rock has more in common with the Jewel than any other station. Kiss is a mix of hot 89.9 and majic 100. Leaning more towards hot. EZ also has a bad downtown signal. It's best on the south end of town.
