Canadian series in the United States

How about "you can't do that on television?"

How about "You Can't Do That On Television?" That Nickelodeon TV show was taped in Canada's Capital of Ottawa.
And starred a then 11-year-old Ottawa native named Alanis Morissette. Plus one of the writers, Bill Prady, would go on to create "The Big Bang Theory."
Many fans probably aren't aware that YCDTOTV started in 1979 as a local-only show on CJOH-TV in eastern Ontario. If you've ever seen any of the first-season episodes, they're VERY different from what U.S. viewers on Nickelodeon would see a few years later. The early shows were part sketch part comedy and part community bulletin board for Ottawa-region kids.
Another Nickelodeon show from the same creators, the short-lived "Turkey Television" (IIRC YCDTOTV's Christine "Moose" McGlade was a producer as well as one of the stars), was also of Canadian origin, though it was made in Toronto.
R.I.P. Les Lye, by the way.
One of them, "Degrassi: The Next Generation", introduced the world to Nina Dobrev and singer Drake.

And the first two seasons of "Fifteen" originated in Vancouver before moving production to Orlando which, at the time, was a hotbed for film and TV production in the South until Atlanta took over.
Actually, only season one of "Fifteen" (or "Hillside" as it was called in Canada) was done in Vancouver. They moved production for season 2 to Ottawa and CJOH. Rekha Shah, who played "Janice" during season two, was also a cast member on YCDTOTV a few years earlier.

Another Canadian show aired on Nickelodeon was TV Ontario's "Today's Special," which was made in Toronto. TVO also produced "Polka Dot Door," which I think was aired on some PBS stations, though not where I grew up.

The YCDTOTV staff also made another, much shorter-lived, show for Nickelodeon called "Turkey Television," although it was done in Toronto. IIRC YCDTOTV's Christine "Moose" McGlade was a co-producer as well as one of the stars. I'm not sure that it ever aired in Canada. "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" was also made in Montreal, and starred another YCDTOTV alumnus, Christian Tessier.

Jim Henson made many Muppet productions in Toronto, including "Fraggle Rock" (HBO), which was a CBC coproduction and aired on both the English and French CBC networks. Canadian fingerprints are all over that show, from Jerry Nelson (a native Oklahoman) giving Gobo a Canadian accent to Uncle Traveling Matt visiting the CN Tower. If you grew up in a border market like Detroit during the '80s, you didn't need cable to watch Fraggle Rock or "The Raccoons" (Disney Channel in the U.S.) - all you needed was rabbit ears and a signal from CBET-9 out of Windsor.

Having recently lost Beverly Cleary, it might be prudent to note that the "Ramona" TV series made in 1988 and starring a young Sarah Polley as Ramona Quimby was a Canadian production. I believe it was made by CHCH in Hamilton, though it aired on CBC (PBS in the States). The actress who played Aunt Beatrice, the late Kirsten Bishop, would later play Zoicite in the first English dub of "Sailor Moon," which was done in Toronto. A number of other anime dubs over the years have been done in Toronto, Montreal, or Vancouver, though they're generally not considered "Canadian shows."

I liked Degrassi Junior High Degrassi High and Degrassi the next generation which was shown in the us and I liked Rookie Blue and I liked the net which was shown on USA Network and I think that was filmed in Canada.

Rookie Blue went to weekend syndication (maybe still is?) Degrassi was sold to stations several years back for E/I requirements, but I don't think it's syndicated anymore.

Fraggle Rock on HBO was a CBC Production (as were several early HBO Specials, and even a few movies) CTV's The Littlest Hobo ran in US Syndication in the late 70's and through the 80's.

Since our current cable company does not include UP TV in its package, I've not seen Heartland on TV for a year. I discovered this morning that COZI is now airing the series from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. US Eastern time (five episodes in a day) on Sundays. I didn't realize how much I'd missed the show until I watched it again!

Just out of curiosity is there a list of PBS stations that still carry the Red Green Show? WLJT 11 in Leaington/Jackson, TN dropped it in 2012.
I don't know if such a list exists, however I do know that KCPT in Kansas City, MO dropped the show in, or around , 2012. KMOS in Sedalia\Warrensburg, MO only had the show for1 year between 2013-14 & only showed the 6th season of the show. According to the website of KTWU in Topeka, KS, they still show the Red Green Show on Saturday nights when they are not doing pledge drives.

The Roku Channel has added a live Red Green channel. I'm getting it to come up on my laptop, but I'm having trouble getting it to come up on all my Rokus except one. I've tried upgrading everything and it hasn't helped I'll keep trying to get it there, but I hope this is something that will come up on other streaming channels like Pluto TV.

I had to do a factory reset on my main Roku, but its finally coming in with no problem.

Transplant airs on NBC. It's a Canadian show & it airs on CTV.
However, I think in the States you guys are a bit behind Canada's CTV network...6 months? A year? (when it comes to airing the show Transplant)

Do you know if there are more seasons of the following, and if they will ever air in the US? I never saw any finale or ending for these series; they all had cliffhangers.
Barkskins
Coroner
Cruel Summer
Private Eyes
Siren

I can only confirm that Private Eyes has been cancelled. I'm not sure about the others.

Alanis was only on You Can't Do That on Television for 5 episodes.....

Nobody that had children in the 1908's has mentioned The Elephant Show, a morning staple on Nickelodeon
