Cancelled broadcast/cable TV series that should be revived in syndication

It's happened before, and it can happen again. Here are some ideas:

-- America's Most Wanted
(a great choice for syndication or My Network TV)

-- Hellcats (I'm kinda surprised this show got cancelled)

-- Law & Order: LA
(NBC never really gave this show a chance; plus, first L&O is scheduled for syndicated repeats this fall)

-- Reno 911! (a great sitcom that kinda left us hanging)

Any other ideas?

I remember a series that CBS was running...maybe 5 or so years ago...about the goings-on in a fictional small town in Kansas...in the aftermath of an off-screen nuclear attack on the United States. I think the name may have been "Jericho".

The premise of this show would lend itself to continuation...perhaps on a channel like Sci-Fi.

With all the networks & "netlets" like My/ION/CW, *are* there any syndicated "series" out there? (I mean "scripted.") Outside of going to cable/satellite, going to OTA "syndication" IMO would be a death knell today!

There is a perfect example of leaving the audience hanging in mid air. Jericho, I thought, was an entertaining show; apparently network executives didn't.

Count me among the (recent) fans of "Firefly". However since the lead character, Nathan Fillion, is now on ABC's "Castle" it's next to impossible to bring that show back with the original cast. Also some of the cast members died in the movie "Serenity".

I would like to see an ending to the recently canceled series "V". Think any network will pick up that show?

Jericho fell victim to the writers' strike. The end result was a heavily-compressed second season with fewer episodes, along with a fairly abrupt conclusion. They also had less money to work with. Producers made it faster-paced and cut a lot of corners. Still a good show, and sad that it didn't make it past the second season. Ratings weren't great, but they weren't bad. If the strike didn't happen, I think it would have stood a better chance.

They aired repeats on CW and SciFi, but neither network was interested in picking up a third season.

Jericho fell victim to lack of viewers. An abbreviated second season was granted in response to one of those seldom successful fan campaigns. They gave it the second shot, but not enough people tuned in. Just the way business goes.

Law & Order: LA will likely wind up somewhere on cable (I'm thinking USA or TNT. Maybe A&E if they wanna take a crack)
America's Most Wanted will likely being syndicated by FOX like COPS has been for years (Only with current episodes)

The others will simply fade away IMO.....

Cheers :D

Three possibilities.....

SyFy (The most likely fit as this channel is all about shows like V when they're not in "Ghosthunter" mode)
BBC America (The show would compliment Doctor Who & the other British-produced sci-fi shows there)
G4 (The show would compliment Fear Factor & other sci-fi shows there)

But given the fact it's had TWO chances on TV (Going back to the original V on NBC), I'd have to say the future of this show is pretty bleak

Just my opinion.....

Cheers :D

^ if syfy was like it was some years ago i would think it would continue V , but lately it has gotten away from science fiction.

Didn't know that, my gf won't like that. One channel that would be good to continue the show on would be Teen Nick or even MTV.

Personally, I think that the next best choices for AMW is My Network TV or first-run syndication. Someone should send an E-mail to Fox about this...

Indeed, because I'm sure it's not been pondered or evaluated by the powers that be.
