A new station right in the middle of Manhattan. I wonder how everyone else failed to notice an available space right in the middle of the biggest market in America. Smart guy that Juan Cabrera.

(this was dismissed yesterday: no new Class D stations outside Alaska. A similar dream in Yonkers died a similar death. In fact, dozens of these have already been dismissed for various reasons.)

If you want to get technical, it was dismissed November 8. It wasn't published until yesterday, which is how I found it.

Didn't say it had any chance. Did say it was pretty doggone funny.

Yeah, they *are* way behind, aren't they?

It certainly struck my funny bone!

I also got a kick out of the application for a 70kW Class B station here in the Milwaukee area. Kinda surprised nobody applied for 87.9.

87.9 is only for old class D stations that were forced to move. It is not a frequency that's open to new class A,B or C or D stations.

That won't stop some people. This thread shows that. Maybe some idiots think that somebody will fail to notice or something.
