I was watching a program on MLB Network some days ago about the 1970 All-Star game. When the program was documenting the various players in that game, I noticed when they were focusing on Willie Mays, they had footage from Candlestick Park from 1970, before the ballpark was enclosed. It was from some game in that season. The footage for Willie Mays first had the center-field view, then when the batter hits the ball, the home plate camera view shows the ball travelling into right-center field, at that point Willie Mays made a spectacular catch on the fence, running into Bobby Bonds. All that footage was in color and my question, if anyone knows is where that footage came from. It could be from KTVU or from NBC as that footage looked like it was from a live broadcast. I'm not sure about if it was from KTVU as I've never seen any archived footage from them of a live broadcast showing the SF Giants in Candlestick Park pre-1971. Did KTVU or NBC archive any footage from Candlestick pre-1971 or is it lost forever?
