Heard AJ Cannon on the River morning show Friday and Monday. He sounded great but he sounds like he's holding way back on his natural attitude. Isn't a little attitude part of the classic rock format? Hell he was more badass on Kicks than he gets to be on The River!
 
I have never heard of this "River" station in Atlanta. Are you confusing it with "The NEW 97.1 The River"

Another question, if Kaedy was off for two days why didn't the afternoon personality fill-in?
 
Afternoon personality could not fill in. Hungover from the previous nights. She has the perfect shift wake-up at 1:00 pm head to the station out by 6:00 for drinking and partying. I wonder if she has Jordan Graye on the old clock radio when she wakes up.

Also I think my son, age 10, should date Jabba's daughter. He is obsessed with why they call themselves "The NEW 97.1 The River" Everytime he hears that. He almost has a Seinfeldian rift on how it could be possible to call themselves that. It really bothers him.
 
What does your son know about technology and signal patterns? More importantly, can Jabba17's daughter play tennis?
 
He probably knows more about the patterns than my wife but that's not saying much. Jabba's daughter would be smart to get in on the ground level of this whole tennis thing. The boy cracked the Top 50 in GA this week. We could be talking partial scholarship to an obscure college in the North Carolina mountains.
 
To answer the posters question... Cox doesn't want personality on the River. They want it done a certain way no matter who's behind the mic. Many retail stores air the River and too much chatter, in Cox's opinion, would disrupt the sound and flow they've had for almost 4 years.

Works for them I guess... but it's BORING.
