Cannot keep up with all the new music

There's so much new stuff coming out on CHR radio I can't even keep track of it all. My song book is getting full. The Canadian stations play stuff I've never heard of along with other countries. On a normal hot AC I know almost every song being played but on a CHR, especially from a different country I have to keep looking them up. How do these music directors do this job right? I bet it's too hard for most people.

It's not שד hard as it is challenging and fun to listen to new music. Keep in mind that PDs and MDs in Canada get sent a lot of Canadian-based material before it hits the desks of US programmers. The same is true for programmers in other countries.

The end result for us, the fans of Top 40 radio, is that we're bombarded with so many great sounding stations that don't all sound the same, and don't all have the same exact playlist.

Are you looking for stations that play a lot of new music? Specific countries?

I have noticed the new stuff is finally starting to hit all at once. 2010 had a very slow start as CHR was still playing mostly 2009 hits all the way up until early April. Looks like things are starting to change. Its about time!
