Cannot WAIT for Russ to return...

I find it funny all Joel1313 can say is how much Russ makes as if that is supposed to mean something. I guess Russ is better than everyone cause of the money he makes. Still doesnt change the fact he is a women beater. All that money and he cant hide from it.

Actually Dallas is loaded with loads of average talent. Where are the good jocks?

Kidd..has talent, but would he have a show without TMZ or American Idol?
RM..has talent, but does get repetitve. Then again who doesnt.
Cindy..just because you have a husky voice doesnt equate an entertaining show.

Um, yeah... I was referring to jocks in general and not just DFW. Think of how many jocks around the country have been victims of syndication and would love to be back in radio. We all know that jocks, talented or not, are being replaced left and right and replaced with syndication or jockless shows... all to save money.

I am willing to bet you CC could have found a much more talented and entertaining group of jocks to do mornings on The Eagle and do it for less money. However, this is just my opinion.
 
I think The Eagle, which has had an interesting and tumultuous history has made a remarkable comeback. The Eagle survived The Edge, Q102, Scott Ginsburg, that horrible purple and pink logo....you get the point. It did so on the music it plays complimented by the personalities (not vice versa). I have made no secret about my feelings for Russ. What bothers me most is what has been posted in this thread about other talent that currently sits "on the beach". You are right, there are great local names that could compliment the music. The Eagle abandoning music in favor of Russ, regardless of my feelings for Russ, seems short sided, but I guess we will see, won't we?
 
i got a question? how many would find it funny if Russ opens his show on Monday with sports fight music like the kind that was on 105.3 the day of the switch.
 
I would find it amusing if he DIDN'T open the show with the same music he always uses and cracks the mic after 10 minutes.... Dallas Rock Jocks to me that are MIA; Dangerous Darren, Red Beard, Alex Valentine, and I would LOVE to see Sybil give it a go.
