Can't Believe It! New Logging on AM 7/4/2010 (SUMMER!)

I still can't believe I'm getting new logs in the summer! I made one new logging last night around 12 in the morning.

940: KYNO Fresno, CA (Hi kenrayc!): The station was over the top of what should be KWBY Woodburn, OR and/or CJGX Yorkton, SK w/ "The New 940 KYNO" IDs. Almost sounded like "Kino".

Distance-792 miles!

I also had 1500 KSTP and KSJX weakly fighting over the space. 1650 KFOX was in very weakly + blowtorch 680 KNBR at nearly 20 over 9. All in all, an unusual AM night. Most conditions start firing up in October.

Just a passing note: CJGX in Yorkton is into the Chicago area quite often; mainly during the winter months. If you hear country music on 940, it's probably them.

Alberta east is STRONG tonight. 660/960/1010/1060 Calgary (CFFR, CFAC, CBR, CKMX) are 50 over 9!! 1570 CKMW Morden is in strongly over the top of the channel, and 990 CBW is in over the horrid slop from KOMO 1000. If you need fireworks on AM (LOL :D :D) here it is!

Geat catches-but crainbo a great DX er is one who will take his partner to the top of the a mountain and play with the knobs (on the radio).
Just kidding. Cool catches...

I'm amazed by the interesting DX this summer on AM. A few nights ago I was able to ID CBK 540 under XEWA San Luis Potosi and semi-local KDFT Ferris TX (Dallas area). That was on a car radio, and a bad one at that, at least for AM sensitivity.
